Recently I went on a trip. I went to the Colorado Mountains. It was new, daring, and adventurous in many ways. I also learned a lot about myself and life. I live in Texas so it was like a different world. I was on a whole new level from Texas, but it was good. It was personal.

For people who live in the mountains, it must be wonderful. For me, it made me realize a lot more than I use to know. How much more is out there. We have a vast world, and we need to see it.

How much of the world have you seen? And how is it different from where you’re from?

While in Colorado, I got up some mornings to watch the sunrise, with coffee of course. Pictures do not give the beautiful skies enough credit. However sharing these and seeing them here remind me how much of this world I have yet to see.

One morning I got up and saw deer. I have never been this close up to any. So they were beautiful in this place. However they lit a fuse in my thoughts and inspired me to write this poem.
Radiant
Sunflower..
Be wild and reach
for the sun
Bloom bright for the good
And grow through the
Hard times
Love is free
So let your heart bloom
Fall for your surroundings
And find beauty in the moment
Find adventure in the land
And let your spirit be free
Let your eyes see the natural artistry
From the coral reefs on the sea floor
To the pearly white snow on the mountain tops
Do not trap your dreams to your current scene
Fall in love with your design.
